What are eBay auction Templates and Why do I need them?

Auction templates are pre-designed templates that contain special designs to enhance your auction. Think of the templates as a piece of stationary paper that you write on to send a letter to a friend. The stationary makes the letter look more appealing to the reader. Auction templates work in the same way by adding color and flavor to your auction. They help distinguish you from your competition and allow buyers to remember who you are. For example, lets take the Wal-mart smiley face logo. Every time you see that bright yellow smiley face you think of Wal-mart which makes you more likely to go there at some point and spend money. So take that same concept and apply it to your auctions. Get some auction templates that represent you or your products just like the smiley face represents Wal-mart. When you have buyers come to your auctions and they see a nice designed aution template they will remember it. For instances, say you have a bunch a competitors selling the same product as you but their auction is completely black and white (just like how this article looks). It contains no color, pictures, and five sentences about the item. As a buyer myself, I would find this listing absolutely a bore to read and probably keep looking until I find something better.

If you use an attractive auction template, I can pretty much guarantee that the potential buyer would buy from you because of your template. As humans, we love to look at colors and black and white boring looking text is not one of them. However, when I first started on eBay my auctions were plain black and white.
